The Impact of Scholarship and Mentoring

Students Share

Growing up in a predominantly Hindu India, Ajit witnessed firsthand the vast mission field his parents devoted their lives to as church planters, leaving behind successful careers to answer God’s call. A life-changing experience at nine years old—surviving a terminal illness—cemented Ajit’s own sense of purpose in ministry, leading him eventually to seek deeper theological training in the U.S. However, the journey was challenging, with financial strains and the complexity of ministry responsibilities piling up as he pursued higher education.

The 222 Foundation stepped in, not only alleviating financial burdens but also providing essential mentorship. Ajit highlights how this support has equipped him in areas beyond theology—learning practical skills in church operations, leadership, and conflict resolution. The mentorship has been invaluable, especially as Ajit continues his ministry and leadership work, both in the U.S. and India. He credits the 222 Foundation with creating a global impact, developing leaders who are making a tangible difference in ministry worldwide.

In today’s video, I share my journey of following God’s call into full-time ministry. Balancing a deep desire to serve through Bible studies and outreach with the demands of full-time work left me torn—until I felt God’s nudge to take a leap of faith and pursue theological training at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Moving to South Dallas, I quickly realized the challenges of part-time work, seminary expenses, and the need for mentorship to guide me. That’s when I discovered the 222 Foundation. Their support through a scholarship lifted my financial burdens, allowing me to study without worrying about debt. But their impact went even deeper—the Foundation connected me with Robert, an incredible mentor who’s been there to offer wisdom, encouragement, and practical advice as I prepare for ministry.

This experience has transformed how I view discipleship and community in ministry, inspiring me to invest in others just as I’ve been blessed. Watch to learn more about how the 222 Foundation has shaped my journey, enabling me to graduate debt-free and step into ministry fully equipped to make an impact.
